We’ve just slightly passed the mid year and you know what that means? It’s a good time to revisit the clutter of stuff and things you have laying around your house you SWEAR you’d use one day even though you’ve had it for 3 years now and still haven’t used much of it…

If that sounds familiar then consider gifting them for free to people who need them through the many popular local ‘Buy Nothing’ Facebook pages that exist. As they say, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”.

If you have clothes in your wardrobe that you would like to clear, do not throw them away! Instead snap some photos of them and give them away at one of these Buy Nothing pages. Do take note of the specific pages according to your area.

Besides clothes, you can give away just about anything (however do be mindful and ensure they are in good condition) such as dry food items, comforter sets, furniture, kitchenware, clothes hangers or even a pail!

What moved us was coming across a few posts offering extra cooked food! The posters had cooked extra portions and were giving them away. This made us realise how amazing these pages are!

Besides giving away used items, many would even giveaway brand new items simply because they can’t fit or do not need them anymore.

See what Buy Nothing Project Seremban & Negeri Sembilan’s Facebook Page has to offer in this quick video below!

Facebook groups usually will vet the people who want to join by asking if they’re A) Looking to gain something or B) Giving away something.

Check out some of the posts we found after a quick browse.

We’ve rounded up as many Malaysian ‘Buy Nothing’ Facebook pages we could find just for you!

Most of them are private, but fret not, the vetting process is easy, just simply request to join and answer a few questions to let the admin(s) approve your request before you can start scrolling through your options.
